The students in Advanced Biology completed a squid dissection in class today. Squids belong to a group of unique animals called cephalopods, and everyone really enjoyed observing them up close. Go Ducks!

HS Boys Basketball will be holding a player/parent meeting tonight, Tuesday, October 29th, at 6 PM in the HS library for all those student-athletes interested in playing basketball this season. The Ducks win a thriller in the third set 26-24 over West Central to move on in the IHSA regional at Havana. Ducks will play Augusta/Southeastern on Wednesday night at 6 PM. Go Ducks!

West Central comes back to win set two of the match against the Ducks, 25-20. On to set three to determine the winner of the first regional match in Havana. Go Ducks!

Life skills went on a trip to pick turnips today! The rest of the week we will be looking up different ways to eat turnips and learn about the environment they grow in

Moving on! The HHS girls cross country team took 7th place today at the regional meet in Rushville, and they will be moving on to the sectional race next Saturday in Elmwood.
The boys team finished 9th; unfortunately, their season came to an end today. They had a fantastic season and have a lot to be proud of. Go Ducks!

Spanish 3 and 4 are traveling to Spain! After a fantastic experience in June of 2024, we have decided to travel again in 2026 and 2028! An informational meeting will be held on Monday, November 4th at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria for all interested students and parents. We will discuss the details of both trips, including qualifications for travel and cost. Following our general meeting, those interested in traveling in 2026 should plan to stay for more specifics related to that trip. For our final Red Ribbon Celebration, Chief Fliege, Mrs. Lee, Mr. Bryant, Nurse Rachel, and Nurse Jennifer, came in and read to students. It was also support-your-favorite-team day, so we wanted to give a shout to our Dolphins fans; they need all the support they can get. 😁








Intro to FACS student are in their Foods Unit. They baked chocolate chip cookies and they did a great job! The kitchen smelled wonderful. Go Ducks!


Students in Intro to FACS learned hand stitches. They were able to practice different stitches and then create something on a blank canvas. All the students did a wonderful job! Go Ducks!


On Wednesday, New Central students celebrated being drug free by wearing active gear and discussing healthy and safe activities they enjoy during their free time. They used "I Choose" charts to display their interests.





Reminder for District 126: today is an Early Dismissal day with a 1:50pm dismissal at the JH, 1:55 at the HS and 2:05 at NC.
