Good evening. This is a heads up for our families that there is a potential snowstorm predicted for Wednesday. The current prediction is 5-6 inches of snow starting early Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, the storm could interfere with school on Wednesday and Thursday. We will continue to monitor. Thank you.

Last week, New Central students and staff celebrated milestone days. While most grades celebrated 100 Day, 1st grade puppies celebrated 101 Day!




Thursday Feb. 13th the 5/6 boys basketball game in Green Valley is Canceled. Go Ducks!

Tonight's Beardstown JH Volleyball Game will play the 8th grade game 1st! Game time is still a 6:00 start at Beardstown with the 7th grade following. Go Ducks!!

HS boys basketball falls to Illini West this afternoon. JV team came up short in the preliminary game as well. Back at it next week!

Today the HJHS cheer squad is participating in the inaugural Queen of Hearts Cheer Showcase at Pleasant Plains. The cheerleaders will perform at 3:00 and the performance will be live-streamed.

HS boys basketball travels to LaHarpe today to play Illini West. Game will be played at LaHarpe Elementary School at 404 West Main Street in LaHarpe. Go Ducks!

HS varsity boys basketball beats North Fulton on the road this evening in a hard fought game! JV boys win the preliminary game as well! Nice to get two wins on the road in a tough place to play! Go Ducks!

Students in Foods 2 class are in the Yeast Bread Unit. Their labs take them a couple days due to the proofing/fermentation process. The students worked on homemade cinnamon rolls for 3 days. They turned out AMAZING! Thank you to our Junior High custodian, Justin Kleiber, and his step dad for donating duck eggs to the FACS Department. Students used them in the cinnamon roll lab on day one. Go Ducks!


Just a reminder tonight the girls basketball team travels to Dee-Mack!! Their school is hosting a "week of hope" and all admissions will go towards St. Jude and other local childhood cancer centers. Dee-Mack is also hosting a toy drive tonight! Go Ducks!

HSGBB: Final from Havana on Senior Night, JV wins 31-24 and Varsity wins 54-50 in OT over Illini West! Back at it tomorrow night at state-ranked Dee-Mack. Go Ducks!

Today, February 6, 2025 at approximately 3:20 p.m. a Havana District 126 school bus was involved in a traffic accident at the corner of Plum Street and Washington Street in Havana. There were no injuries to any students or staff on the bus, and all students have been safely transported to their destination. Local and school authorities responded quickly to ensure the safety of all students and staff. All families of those involved have been contacted.
